General Service Medal 1962 with clasp 'South Vietnam'. Awarded to Army and Air Force for service of 30 days or more, not necessarily continuous , in South Vietnam between December 1962 and May 1964 inclusive, or one sortie or more into South Vietnam by RAAF air crew personnel in direct support of operations. Members of accredited philanthropic organisations serving with the Army - the Australian Red Cross, Salvation Army, Young Men's Christian Association and Campaigners for Christ - were also eligible. The Siege of Tobruk Medal was originally available to Australian, New Zealand, British, Indian and Polish troops who saw action during the Siege of Tobruk, between April and December 1941. The medal was commissioned and issued by the Rats of Tobruk Association in 1977. The medal was available to 18 BDE, 24 BDE, 26 BDE, 2/1 PIONEER's and other miscellaneous units. Some RAAF, Free French Air Force and Canadian personnel attached to the Royal Navy were included.This is not an official medal. 8/13 Victorian Mounted Rifles Regimental Association marched in Anzac Day parades each year in Albury, Wangaratta, Benalla and Cobram. Two small copies of War Workers' Woolcraft - Knitting and Spinning books: one with a red paper cover and the other with a faded khaki coloured paper cover. 1. The red front cover book shows the title printed inside a black cloud shape with a black lined illustration of a ball of wool underneath. The Country Women's Assoc. South Aust. is printed on the cover inside a round shaped black crest. It is compiled by The Country Women's Association of Victoria and sponsored by the Australian Wool Board. Inside on the back of the front cover is an Introduction by the Chairman of the Australian Wool Board, Sir Dalziel Kelly, K.B., L.L.B. explaining the reason for these books encouraging the use of Australian wool to support the Empire Forces. The Foreward promotes the CWA in a similar vein. The Flying Log Book was used by A315699 Lindsay William Fankhauser from qualifying as a helicopter crewman on 9 Dec 66 until a new Flight Log Book was issued on 15 Feb 74. The Lindsay Fankhauser lived in Gisborne and was a member of the Vietnam Veterans Association based at Woodend RSL. The Flying Log Book provides a complete record of Lindsay Fankhauser including flying hours, qualifications, annual reports, photographs of crew and aircraft from 1966 until 1974.Blue book held within a brown leather bookcover. This is an example of Melbourne Legacy promotional material from 2000. A poster that was printed to promote Legacy Week. A school girl is holding a Legacy Torch and a ADF member from the navy, army and air force are standing by her. A notice in the Bulletin on 17 August 2000 mentions it was produced by Sydney Legacy. The article mentions it was proposed to produce bumper stickers and Victorian Taxi Association had agreed to distribute the stickers for placement on taxis during Legacy Week. The main time of year for fundraising is September when Legacy holds 'Badge Week'. Often there is a celebrity who gives his or her time as 'Personality of the Year'. Examples are Sir Weary Dunlop (1992), Clive James (1993), the Scott family (1994), The Emmanuel brothers (1995), Daryl Somers (1996 and 1997), and Patsy Adam Smith (1994).
