A chronicle of Life Members of the G.A.C.C. during the mid 20th century. Note that cyclists of international acclaim - notably Russell Mockridge, Sir Hubert Opperman and Don Wilson are included in this list.This honour board has an important place in the history of the Geelong Amateur Cycling Club and signifies the high esteem in which the community and the GACC held for the significant contribution many members made to the club. The Sandhurst Branch was started on August 26th, 1874. In July 1874, several gentlemen met together, and when a sufficient number had given in their names and sufficient promises of support had been received, the board of directors were approached with a view to forming a branch of the association in Bendigo. On August 26, 1874, the inception took place. The building was demolished in 1971. Photo collage of members of the Building Committee of the Sandhurst Branch of the Australian Natives' Association.
