It does not include any information about its editor or publication. Page one, ‘Chaff Bag’, by ‘Little Jack’ is about old Caulfield. There are numerous columns and many local advertisements including one for the inaugural meeting of the Caulfield Historical Society on 13/09/1972. 2/Caulfield Diplomat No.2 (October 1972) (three copies). Includes comments by ‘Little Jack’ about old Caulfield and an account of the voyage of the Glen Eira barque from Scotland to Melbourne in 1839-1840 on which many passengers died. Also included is a report on the inaugural meeting of the Caulfield Historical Society (13/09/1972), addressed by Dr. Weston Bate and a letter to the editor about old Caulfield by ‘Clip-Clop Cover’. William Sinclair and Margaret nee Howard came to Panton Hill in 1903; they had eight sons and three daughters. Daughter Anne married Michael O'Day and raised a family with many grandchildren and great grandchildern. Anne was involved in causes at Panton Hill, especially for the blind. Son Ronald (Charlie) was captain of Panton Hill fire brigade; his wife Shirly and their three sons were also involved. "Miss Hook of Holland" is a musical comedy (described as a "Dutch Musical Incident") in two acts, with music and lyrics by Paul Rubens and book by Austen Hurgon and Rubens. It opened at the Prince of Wales Theatre, London, on 31 January 1907, and had a successful run of 462 performances. A synopsis of the plot can be found at https://www.guidetomusicaltheatre.com/shows_m/miss_hook_holland.htm This was one of a number of productions of the Surrey Hills Amateur Operatic Society during the 1930s. The society formed in 1931 and its first production was "The Cingalee", followed in 1932 by "The Arcadians". Other productions were "Princess Ju-Ju", "The Quaker Girl", "The Hook of Holland" and "The Country Girl". Apart its cultural and social importance, the aim of the Society was to raise funds for charity. Mrs Constance Clucas was a driving force behind the productions. A comprehensive account of the society's activities is found in 'A history of Surrey Hills' Sporting clubs and Cultural Groups" by Ken James. This and other programs of the Surrey Hills Amateur Operatic Society provide insight into the cultural life of Surrey Hills in the 1930s.Cream-coloured stapled program printed in brown of a musical comedy in 2 acts. Three copies of Bendigo Sub-branch R.S.S.A.I.L.A. Annual Victory Ball held at the Town Hall, Bendigo on August 16th, 1949. Guests of Honour were Lt.-En. S. F. Rowell, C.B., C.B.E., and Mrs Rowell. Card is cream with gold print on the front and a blue RLS badge. Other printing is blue. The inside of the trio-fold has a Dance Program of 28 dances and a space for Autographs. The first meeting of the 1st Bendigo Guides was held by Miss Merle Bush on the 22nd of August 1922 in the St Paul' School Room. Twelve girls were present. Miss Bush was given permission to open the Company by Miss R.
