Square shaped pot holder. Centre panel, and back lining are made from pale blue "silky - type" (probably synthetic) fabric. This 9 X 11cm panel is surrounded by a band of yellow fabric, which also forms a binding around the edges. A blue and white check flannelette fabric forms the padding in the pot holder. Folded strips of floral cotton form a decorative band between the small and larger rectangles. This border is decorated by yellow stitchery. Orlon long sleeved cardigan with round neck, buttoned with 9 plastic pearl buttons to the neckline. Long raglan sleeves with a lace pattern along the raglan top of the sleeves, with a 10cm ribbed band at the wrist. A 5.5cm ribbed band at the hipline. Garment is a bright deep peach/orange colour.Or perhaps a deep peach colour. Formerly owned by Margaret (Nell) Timbs nee Heider who worked at Hanro in the Finishing Department about 1935. Test plate rectangular glass slide with rulings under circular cover glass within yellow circle and brown border enclosed in red hinged box with blue lining. Described as “A sample Microscope slide - Test plate with rulings from 30,000 to 120,000 per inch”. This is the only surviving ruling reaching up to 120,000; hence is both unique and valuable.Labels on slide: “Test plate 10,000 to 120,000. Ruled by H.J. Grayson, Melbourne”. Clothing. Very fine, cream linen bodice, with two vertical lace inserts either side of front opening, and three angled inserts from each side seam to the vertical insert. All inserts 2 cms wide. Short cap type sleeves are edged with the same lace, and band of this lace also outlines the wide square neckline. An insert between these bands has a fine, ribbon threaded through, which would act as a draw string. There is a 2.5 cm x 3 cm tab of linen at the centre back, but, no markings are evident. Three .9 cm pearl buttons, with three corresponding machine stitched button holes fasten the front. A cotton tape drawstring, and elastic are encased at the waistline giving the lower edge a peplum effect.costume, female, cream linen bodice

Clothing. High lace-edged round neckline - lace 1.3 cm deep. Long sleeves-gathered at the shoulder, and edged at the wrist with a 4.5 cm deep, gathered broderie anglais, featuring a shamrock, and flower design. The bodice has a centre front panel of lace. 9 cm wide at the neckline, tapering to 4 cm wide at the high waistline. This panel is edged with a 4 cm wide scalloped edge at the broiderie anglais trim. Three rows of pintucks, give a finish to the filigree braid, and the gathered broiderie frill. The long skirt is gathered at the lower bodice, and is 70 cms long. The lower 20.5 cms at the hemline has alternate bands of three pintucks, a 4 cm panel of flowers and cutwork broiderie, three pintucks, 4 cm panel panel of broiderie, three pintucks and a 4 cms deep machine stitched hem. Bodice has a back opening, with only one 1 cm diameter covered button evident, a cotton tape passes through a casing, and ties at the back waistline.costume, female, infants nightdress.

Clothing. Very fine, white linen 12cms by 12 cms square, that has a band of white lace, 9 cm deep hand-stitched around the linen.
