3293.1 - Grey folder, with a two prong clip, marked ""Rosters both sides, containing a set of 29 sheets, typed on foolscap paper, giving the Weekdays, Saturday and Sunday tables or runs for the SEC Ballarat trams on the SEC Ballarat Tramway system until the period before closure. Gives details of 38 tables or runs, numbered from 1 Run to 38 Run. Each sheet headed "Weekday", three runs per sheet. Saturdays - 1 to 34, Sunday - 1 to 10. Each sheet has in the top right hand corner LJD/3/70. Time table operated until the commencement of closure of the system. All sheets imaged and are: Monday to Friday Runs 1- 3 4-6 7-9 10-12 13-15 16-18 19-21 22-24 25-28 29-30 31-33 34-36 37 and 38 Saturday Runs 1- 3 4-6 7-9 10-12 13-15 16-18 19-21 22-24 25-28 29-30 31-33 34 Sunday Runs 1- 3 4-6 7-9 10 Each run details where the driver/conductor would sign on, time, the trips, meal breaks, finish time and the total time of the shift. Yields information about tram services and how timetables were printed using a clock face for use in Ballarat. Demonstrates timetable making.Twenty Eight page, white paper, saddle stapled booklet, titled "Electricity Supply Department - Ballarat Tramways - Official Time Table January 1939", numbered TYE 1-48-5918. Gives notes on the through routing of the tram service, how the clock style format works and that it operates from the Tramway Centre. Also details when extra services are run and times as specific points along the route. Pages 24 and 25 detail the fares and charges, page 26 - luggage, page 27 - section destinations for the various routes and page 28, notes recent reductions in electricity charges. Two copies held. In the worksheet file is the basis of an article that appeared in Feb. 2006 Fares Please! BTPS Postcard, featuring No. 27 and 38 in Wendouree Parade (Reg. Item 1781) that has been manufactured or stamped into a 24 piece jigsaw by Resort Puzzles Pty Ltd. of Lithgow, c1988. Card after stamping has been mounted onto a sheet of brown cardboard then enveloped with a sheet of clear light weight plastic and onto the rear, a printed white sheet of paper has been glued or fixed onto it. The pre-printed sheet of paper acts as the rear of the postcard for mailing purposes, providing a stamp location, address and writing area. Negative Nos. N393 and N394 and black and white print made by a laser printer (stored in folder) of Bendigo tram No. 6 at Golden Square terminus. Tram has the destination of Golden Square. Has the Golden Square hotel in the background and an Age advertisement on the dash panel. Note the large overhead pan at the terminus. .1 - tram has arrived and the driver/conductor has place the pole on the overhead after turning the pole. .2 - Driver/conductor standing by front of tram. Date of photo on folder - 26/9/1962?? or 1 Jan 1963. A date on the front of the folder of 1/12/1959 is too early - tram has been painted with tiger stripes and fitted with dash canopy lighting. Same date on Ballarat folders as well - see negative number N392 etc. Crew member wearing a great coat - unusual for Bendigo on a new years day. Photo early 1960's. Original negative rescanned 24/5/2020 and image file updated.BE1 - Paper folder that contained the negative had "NR15A" in red ink, "BE1" in pencil, date stamp of "1 DEC 1959" on front and on inside date stamps "26 Sep 1962" and "26 Sep 1962".
