In 1906 the Ballarat Progress Association commissioned Powell and Co. to publish a booklet called Guide to Ballarat the Beautiful.This booklet contained many photographs (including coloured photography) and description of businesses and icons of which inhabitants of the city could be proud. Used by the AETA at conventions, displays etc. Possibly made 1980's by style of letters and paint. Has four 50x18 wooden legs, with hinges at the top to support sign and allow it to be opened. Fitted with rope and eyehooks to allow it to be carried our secured in the open position. These are damaged and not functional.
