This prescription book contains the entries of a chemist shop in Timor Street, Warrnambool from 1911 to 1946. During that time there were various chemists in the business trading for most of the time as R.F. Kennedy and Co. and later successors to R.F. Kennedy and Co, with one known name being that of J. Paterson. Richard Frank Kennedy established his wholesale, retail and manufacturing chemist's business in Warrnambool in 1880 and it became a leading business in Warrnambool. After Kennedy's death in 1903 the business continued as R.F.Kennedy and Co. The entries in the book show the type of medicines and prescriptions used in Warrnambool over a period of thirty years.This is a significant item, firstly because it is a record of an important business in 20th century Warrnambool and secondly because it is a great social record of one aspect of the health of residents in Warrnambool and district at that time. This is a ledger of 502 pages with a heavy cardboard cover with red leather edgings. The binding is largely missing and the ledger is held together with adhesive tape. These drawings have been produced by Ron Uebergang at the Warrnambool Technical School in 1919. Uebergang family members were pioneer settlers in the Warrnambool area in the early 1850s. Ronald John Uebergang (1903-1971) was born in Warrnambool to Ernest Uebergang and Mary Watson. Ron Uebergang lived at the family property, Hopkins Hill at Allansford and went to Allansford State School and Warrnambool Technical School. He was mechanically minded, a good photographer and fond of music and dancing. He married Myra Hall and was a dairy farmer at Hopkins Hill and later grazed beef cattle. Warrnambool Technical School was established in 1913, firstly at a Timor Street site and later at Caramut Road (today it is known as Brauer College). These drawing are of considerable interest as works produced by Ron Uebergang. Uebergang family members have been prominent in the Warrnambool-Allansford area since the pioneering days of the district. The drawings also are good examples of the type of work produced by Warrnambool Technical School students in its early years.These are two designs and drawings by Ron Uebergang produced at the Warrnambool Technical School in 1919. They are drawn on white card using black and red ink. The scale of the Flywheel is three inches to one foot and the Bevel Wheels are one-third full size. The drawings are edged with heavy black lines. The two sheets have the signature of Ron Uebergang. There are also four pages of handwritten notes on the Flywheel and Bevel Wheels.‘Designed by R. This locker door was used by the Carlton Premiership player of 1968, 1970 and 1972, Robert Walls. Walls played 218 games for Carlton between 1967 and '78. The locker carries his name because he wore the No.42 into 100 senior games for the club - the minimum number of games required by a player to earn that honour. This item is one of the few of its type remaining with the club, and Robert Walls is an important figure in Carlton FC history as both Carlton Premiership player (1968, 1970 and 1972) and Senior Coach (1987). This car sticker was a very popular and sought after souvenir selling for 25 cents contributing to the Sanctuary's income. Healesville Sanctuary was the first institution to breed platypus in a total captive situation.and is also the only institution in the world to breed LyrebirdsA promotional circular car sticker depicting a lyrebird tail in full display above a platypus side on. Yearn Hunger Thirst Always on the edge of oblivion, craving sustenance in a dry land. McLean and Kennedy have collected dry materials: hollow pipes, old hoses and worn metal hose fittings.
