Alan Money and Jeannie James started the Muse, an intimate theatre in Prahran in the 1950s, and a children's theatre. They lived in Kangaroo Ground, where Neil Douglas visited where they were burnt out in 1962. They found a house in Eltham by Margo Knox. Jeannie James was exhibiting paintings at Montsalvat. Joy Peck was an artist and husband Hal was a teacher at Eltham High School and a potter. They had three children: Tony, Gina and Marcus. Joy was born in Ballarat but grew up in Warrnambool; died 3 February 2008. She trained at the National Gallery School and exhibited from 1960 until 1997; her Melbourne galleries included Realities and Manyung.
