Compiled and collected by Major Jim Sullivan. Lists of 498 Japanese civilians interned. The bond of friendship of the internees and officers, NCO's and particularly Lieutenant Jim Sullivan who loaded an Army truck with young internees for a trip to Rushworth and Peters ice cream. Donor is daughter of a member of Australian armed forces who served during WW2, and was member of garrison at Camp 13 after the war, in 1946. Donor was researching her father's service & obtained at her expense copies of these archives held by the AWM, related to daily activities in the camp during the time that her father was posted at Murchison. Records show, amongst other things, troop (garrison) movements, routine orders, outcomes of disciplinary proceedings. Copies of archival documents obtained from AWM, specifically Australian Army war diaries / intelligence summaries pertaining to Murchison POW group (Camp 13). For periods: 1. Jan-Mar 1946; 2. Sent to Australia on Queen Mary to Tatura Group Internment Camp 3 compound D. Released with other families in 1942. Karl served in the 8th Employment Company. He and his wife taught in Melbourne schools (Mentone Grammar and St Catherine's Girls School). Daughter Eva (photo) donated the photos.4 black and white photographs of the Duldig family.
