Most of the hats in the collection were created by milliners for women. There are however a number of early and important men’s hats in the collection. A fully decorated Boch Delfts wall plate depicting a scene with water, sailing boats, a small dinghy, distant land with village and a glimpse of shore in the foreground. The whole is encircled by a ribbon of blue.
