- Identifying Australian Potters to Date. Valerie Wilson has entries in the 1973, 1977, 1981 and 1985 directories where she is based at Rockdale, NSW. She trained at the St George Technical Collegefor five years and in 1981 was teaching at the St George Studio Pottery Group School. She made wheel thrown and handbuilt reduced stoneware with surfaces decorated with chattering, wax resist or oxide brushwork. Her mark is recorded as VW in an inverted triangle.
