Yields information and demonstrates aspects about Ballarat's destination rolls used in trams up to 1967 when the rolls were replaced with the opposite colour arrangementDestination roll white lettering on black background used in Ballarat until late 1967, replaced by black letters on white background. Layout of individual destinations follows that shown in K.S.Kings, "Ballarat Tramways" - see image file for copy. Main letters are 150 high. Has a short section of white on the top of the roll and larger section at bottom. On rear of roll, has abbreviated destinations painted in white paint on black gloss paint to enable drivers to locate easier the individual destinations. Two page Gestetner copy of an amended timetable for tram services in Bendigo for the SECV issued 29 June 1970. Gives times for the departure from the City and the terminus for the Eaglehawk, Quarry Hill, Golden Square and North Bendigo routes. Page 1 for Monday to Friday, page 2 for Saturday and on the bottom of page 2, details of Sunday services commencing from 2pm, until about 10.30pm. May have been the last timetable issued for Bendigo. On Gestetner foolscap sized paper, stapled in the top left corner. Covers the history of the horse trams, the electrification by the Electric Supply Co. of Victoria, (ESCo) the takeover by the State Electricity Commission of Victoria (SECV), closure in 1971, the formation of the BTPS and the operation of the tramway. Truck is a British Bedford truck, model WHG, built by GMH Melbourne between 1932 and 1934. Has a fabric roof, chassis fitted with a tray top body, side tool box, metal frame and covered with canvas, fitted out with a motor generator set, welding equipment and oxy acetylene bottles. Also fitted with a spot light - 'Auto Reel Lite". - See Related Items sheet on truck notes provided by Kevin Oates, MFESB workshops, 4/2001. (Scan of this sheet of the Kodak folder added 15-8-2017 - see pdf file.) 1705.1 - side on view of truck with covers down, except for opening at back. On rear of folder in ink is number "53569" and stamped on the front is number "984" and written in front top left hand cover, "8 prints" and in top right hand corner word "Sarah". A survey of Wendouree Parade on 22/4/2001 did not show the boat sheds or power lines featured in the photographed. Significant for shows the form and method of issuing a certificate of service for a specific person, his duties, and performance. Signed by the person who received the form. Shows that the person was retrenched by the SEC prior to final closure of the tramways.Single sheet of off white or light grey paper, titled "Certificate of Service" prepared by the State Electricity Commission of Victoria (SEC) for 'Dallas John Everett". Pre printed certificate form "FMI 5-190 R2". Occupation given as "Driver/Conductor, Tramways" for the period from 19/9/1967 to 3/8/1971. Gave conduct and ability as "Satisfactory" and reason for leaving "Retrenchment". Issued on 5/8/1971 by Personnel Superintendent. Has D. J. Everett's signature on left hand margin. Demonstrates aspects of the SEC ticketing, governance and monitoring systems. The Pass or ticket could be issued to a SEC staff member to enable travel on the tramways while on business. Style remained very similar to the end of the tramways.Six blocks of SEC Provincial Tramways "Staff Ticket" and four individual tickets. Individual tickets printed on heavy dark grey (Grey 200 gsm card) with black printing. Ticket blocks consist of 50 printed tickets, with stubs, stapled with red cardboard covers. Ticket good for single trip only, of use by employees when travelling on Commission's business. Form No. TYE-2-19. Not known when printed, possibly 1960's maybe earlier. 2101.1 - Aa 002580 - 2599. Each ticket medium weight card, on manila coloured (210gsm) card and printed on black ink to give day numbers, monthly, week number, transfers and day of week, excluding Sunday. Numbered on right end of ticket. Static number (1 - 7) on left indicate it may be the day of issue. Each ticket has been stamped "CANCELLED" On the rear of the ticket is the details of the ticket use, allowing the passenger one return journey between City and section 2-3 or 3, or between 2-3 and 4. Not available on Sundays. Form Number TYE 2-12. Note: See Reg. Item 230 on the page dated Feb. 22 for another two weekly tickets, c1950, price 2/6. Printed in off-white card in red ink. Numbered on the right end of the ticket. At the rear of the block is a manila-coloured card used a backing strip. Static number (1 - 7) on left may be to indicate the day of issue.
