In furnishing Holmbush, Legacy needed to be granted a wartime permit to purchase a refrigerator. Of note is that the shelves were to be made of wood as wire was not obtainable due to the war. The cabinet was custom made in wood. The WWI war memorial has since been moved to the front of the RSL Rooms/Maffra Memorial Hall. This calendar was found in a shed and is interesting because of the phone number being Poowong 1, when the telephone exchange was at the local post office. the Butter factory is no longer operating nor is the Foodland grocery store that was part of the same business.Only known calendar in existence.grubby cardboard calendar 1961 front page hanging off. centre colour picture has a small hole in it.
