The tram became Ballarat No. 43 1 - tram lifted on four jacks with a single trucker behind 2 - Liftng a Brill 22E bogie onto the truck gooseneck. 3 - Tram lifted prior to backing the truck under it. 4 - Tram body lowered onto the truck. 5 - Ready for departure - note the destination of Belmont. Set of six colour slides, possibly taken on Saturday 4 September 1972, prior to the closure of the Mt Pleasant line the following day. 1 - Two single truckers at Sturt and Lydiard Streets with many motor cars. Town Hall in the background. 2 - Tram 12 (Sebastopol) picking up passengers at the stop just before the tram turned the corner into Sturt St. Driver running a one-man tram. In the background are the ANZ and other bank buildings. 3 - Tram 13 at Stones Corner - with the destination of Gardens via Sturt St. West. Significant in being a detailed set of instructions for parking trams, hand overs, relief, responsibility for the security of the tram, including leaving the tram unattended. Regrettable incidents have happened. Issued 1961. Reg item 3459 has a more detailed set of instructions.Single foolscap sheet titled "Special Order to Motormen (49/1)" giving instructions regarding 1) Responsibility (for trams), 2) Relief on the road, 3) Controller key, 4) Air brake handle, 5) leaving tram unattended. Depot, particularly for BTM No. 671, during visit of 3 & 4/96, covers controllers, safety, motor cut outs etc. 303.1 - found in tram upon return to Ballarat - 13/5/1996 303.2 - good condition copy ex Peter Winspur. Check on box contents 25/8/01 showed that 303.2 has been removed elsewhere or is missing. Black & white postcard of the Coliseum Hall soon after catching fire - 24/3/1936. In stamp area of card, has 'Kodak Australia', printed on it. In ink has written 'Coliseum Theatre, Ballarat (seating 6000). No. 36 with Mt Pleasant destination, and No. 20 with Gardens via Sturt St. West on western track. Trees full with leaves. Note V crossing of frog, one made up by SEC?
