Demonstrates aspects of the SEC ticketing, governance and monitoring systems. The Pass or ticket could be issued to a SEC staff member to enable travel on the tramways while on business. Style remained very similar to the end of the tramways.SEC Provincial Tramways "Staff Ticket" No. Aa000448. Printed on heavy dark brown paper with black printing. Ticket good for single trip only, of use by employees when travelling on Commission's business. Form No. TYE-2-19. Not known when printed, possibly 1960's maybe earlier. Has been cancelled by "X"d in ink and removed from a 1930's ticket manual or similar document as it has paper on the rear of the ticket covering the conditions of use - see also Reg Item 3648 for the same paper backing.Has been "X" in inktrams, tramways, tickets, staff tickets, employees pass -

Version prior to the introduction of Pensioner fares.3045.1 - Printed form titled "Trip Way-Bill" of the SEC, Electricity Supply Department, Provincial Tramways, on thin off white paper. Gives value of tickets up to 7d, City 2d, Pensioners 2d and 3d and parcel stamps of 4d. Has space for the Run No, Conductor, Day, Date , route time and tram no. Able to be used on both sides of the sheet. Has sheet or print number of TYE 1-250 3045.2 - Photocopy of the same form with fares up to value of 1/-c, three city tickets, no pensioners and parcels of 6d. Original form to Bendigo Tramways. Under sheet number of TYE 1-250, has date of (R6/63). 3045.3 - similar to 3045.1 - but different TYE number and differences in font etc. While fare denominations to max value of 7d, has does not have City and Pensioner fares - used prior to the introduction of these fares - 1/11/1955 to 1/7/1958. 3046.1 - Printed form titled "Revenue Journal", for recording the value of tickets sold by Conductors. Headed - Electricity Supply Depart, Provincial Tramways". Has value of tickets up to 7d, parcel tickets of 4d. Gives the opening and closing number of tickets or checks issued to the conductor, check returned by conductor, total number issued, value, returned by conductor, cash returned, Prepared in L (pound), shilling and pence format, or notes, silver and copper. Used in during the mid 1950's. Has space for hospital vouchers and area where signed by conductor. Printed on off white paper. Has form number TYE 1-280. Two copies held. On the rear of one sheet has written ink ticket denominations issues from 28/2/1963 to 1/1/1969 - seven different series, though first have then been crossed out. Repeat on second sheet. Gives value of tickets issued, including scholars and parcel tickets. 3046.2 - Lined foolscap sheet - hand written notes on fares up till June 1958, then through to 1/2/1969 - 6 different fare schedules. Has space for branch, date of issue, clerk, total stocks issued and outfit numbers. Form has number TRM 583-2 (OP110) , with two large holes on left hand side for holding or filing into accounts books. Form ruled in grey ink with printing of numbers etc in black. 3056.2 - as for above, but with fare values up to 15c and parcel tickets of 10c. Functional Object - Ticket punch, Bell Punch Ltd
Demonstrates aspects of tramway operation, cancelling or showing that tickets had been inspected following sales to passengers by the conductor or motorman. Traditionally used by tramway operators to check or cancel tickets.Steel cast, chrome plated, machined, device used to cancel or punch paper tickets when purchased. Placed a four pointed star hole in the ticket. Spring loaded, consists of two main parts with a pin & spring in addition. Has a circular steel ring for a finger hold. Chrome plate started to wear off in some places. Has letter "D6" punched onto one arm and "Supplied by Bell Punch Ltd Uxbridge" just below the slit in the punch for the ticket.Has letter "D6" punched inside of handles near pin and letter "C: on inside of both handles and "X" near the outer edge of one the insides of the handle.trams, tramways, ticket punch, tickets, fares -
