Summer dress hat, with a very fine basket weave, scalloped edges, and gauze trim. Inside the hat is a label, "A Calvert Model". Dating from c.1940s. N.B.Calvert was liquidated in 1973. Owned by Mrs Jean Robinson, b. 1921.

Feathered hat with brim. Beautifully layered black, white and light tan feathers on entire hat with black feather trim. No label. Elastic band sewn inside. Main frame of the hat possible made of straw. c. 1960/1970s. Owned by Mrs Jean Robinson.

Set of photos from c. 1980s pertaining to Hermon's Removals. William (Bill) Hermon Junior established a furniture removals business in 1935. Their depot was on the corner of Main Rd and Snodgrass St, Pakenham. When Bill's younger sons Ken and Ron, acquired the business in 1994 the business was renamed Hermon's Rainbow Removals, which remains in operation today. 1. Menzies Creek primary School opened on 15th April 1882. The front entrance by the square water tank was used by the teacher to gain access to the residence, and the children entered the classroom by the side entrance. The building was destroyed in November 1935 in a fire caused by a workman's blowtorch.
