This is a photograph of one of the many stone ruins of buildings which can be seen in the Sunbury district and surrounding areas. This series of 13 photographs show various views of one of the remaining uninhabited stone cottages which were built in the early days of the district's settlement.A coloured photograph of a stone cottage with a wooden shingle roof and its weatherboard and corrugated iron out building. A valley between two sections of the building suggests it has been built in stages. Three chimneys are visible and the cottage has three 12 paned sash windows with a doorway in the centre of the front. The granite coach house and kitchen are part of the Glen Loeman complex which is situated on Loemans Road in Bulla. Most of the buildings on the estate were constructed in the 1850's. The first owner of the property was Michail Loeman and his wife Isobella.A coloured photograph of outbuildings. The pitched roof is slate clad and is partly moss covered. The grey stone chimney stack at the end of the building is finished with a simple cornice. The stone walls are constructed in a random rubble pattern. There are two doorways. The wider doorway has black timber doors and is finished with an arched stone lintel and the smaller doorway has a straight stone lintel. Part of the collection purchased by the City of Portland from Kurtze's museum. Brendon Kurtze believed it was from the 'Constant', but the wreck was later proven to be the 'Regia' by V.A.S.Wooden painted figurehead believed to be from the barque 'Regia' (built 1835). Painted white female with floral wreath in hair, holding a scroll in both hands, sash over right shoulder, diamond-shaped object on ribbon around neck, beaded necklace, dress with puffed short sleeves, bare arms, hair set in curls and a bun on the back of head. Black and white image of two gentlemen wearing the uniform of the Linton Brass Band. The gentleman seated on the left of the image is Mr. Trengrove who was the Drum Major of the band. The Rechabite movement began in Salford England. In 1861 the first Independent order of Rechabites Friendly Society, Salford Unity, was opened in Bendigo to be called “Star of Bendigo” Tent. It was registered as Number 5 making it one of the first in Victoria. They worked with the Total Abstinence Society to organize lectures and social events designed to prove that entertainment and fun could be had without alcohol. They met in the new Temperance Hall in View Street. Independent Order of Rechabites, Salford Unity.
