Photocopy of a letter from John Radcliffe past President of the Australian Electric Transport Museum, Adelaide written on 5 January 1995 concerning the two Adelaide horse trams sold to Ballarat for use on the Sebastopol line following the Sebastopol fire in Oct. 1909. Notes the types of cars that could have been sold and other sources of information. Yields information about the reconstruction of the depot trackwork during 1935/1936 and the condition of the rails, types of rails and methodsSet of 5 Black and white photo prints from collected negatives of the relaying of the depot fan at the SEC Ballarat depot building, during refurbishment by the SEC during 1935 or 1936. 1351.1 - Wendouree Parade depot junction, track - relaying the 2nd set of points. One track was still useable at the time. Note fences and tools lying around the work area. 1351.2 - laying out the trackwork for two and three roads, note machines and cylinders in background. 1351.3 - looking along No. 2 road out of the depot doors, not connected, possibly taken some time after 1351.2, as the area appears to be cleaned up. 1351.4 - Photo showing the various rail weights for possibly the western rail on No. 3 road and how the fishplates were at the time of the photograph. Not known whether this was the final arrangement, taken looking towards the depot building. 1351.5 - ditto but from the other end - note the damaged flangeway on the depot end rail - horse tram rail? Shows how the crews were organised and how the system worked for a whole year.Single sheet of off white duplicating paper titled "Rotation Roster 3/70". Printed by wax cut stencil or Gestetner method. Details the run number that an employee would do for a particular week and day of the week and the total hours mins worked that week. Has "LJD / 3/70", showing that Les Denmead authorised the roster. Was part of D. J. Everett papers. See also Reg. Murdoch, General Manager of the TB Melbourne regarding a subject that Mr. Murdoch could help with. 1975.1 - Letter from Mr. Pringle to Mr. Murdoch apologising he did not call in, too busy. Letter dated 14/9/1928, received by the TB 15/9/1928. On ESCo letterhead. 1975.2 - Carbon copy of a letter on pink paper from Mr. Murdoch to Mr. Pringle advising that he thinks he can assist in some matter. Dated 10/9/1928. Photocopy per facsimile machine of part of The Courier, Ballarat 27/12/1944 detailing the movement and location of the miniature or Treasure Tram that was used to raise money during the wartime in Ballarat as part of the most popular conductress competition (see also Reg. items 241 and 247 )had been presented to the Bendigo Base Hospital to be used in the Bendigo Easter Fair. In addition is a item concerning the death of Mrs Eeleen Scruse on 25/12/1944. Mrs. Scruse husband was a tram driver. (See Reg Item 1655 for photo of Frank Scruse) Fax dated 14/2/1996.
