Brief report by Compton Associates Pty Ltd re Bendigo Arts Council, June 1979. This a Report as to the capacity of the Bendigo Arts Council to embark on a fund raising programme (Conclusion - ''negative'' at that stage). Submission by Bendigo Arts Council to the Bendigo Urban Renewal Liaison Committee - ''A Blueprint for the Future'' (undated submission but reference internally indicates it being post September 1974). Six pages with four Sections: Sec. 1 - Preamble; Sec. 2 Buildings currently in use; Sec. 3 Arts Council activity to improve facilities; Sec. 4. Arts Council recommendation for the inclusion of the Community Arts Centre in the study area; Sec. 5 Conclusions. Two copies of the submission in differently coloured covers.

Fine white cotton round neckline edged with lace. Three lace panels on centre bodice. Long ties are stitched down at the centre of the gown, with an embroidered cotton lace overlay, defining the bodice and skirt. Narrow pleats between the three lace panels, give fullness to the front bodice. Long sleeves are edged with narrow lace, and slight gathering gives the impression of a cuff. Golden yellow ribbon gathered over a horseshoe shape. Ribbon 48 cms long and 3cms wide forms a loop which is attached to the top of the horseshoe. Gold coloured satin ribbon covering a slipper shape - one bigger, one smaller. The smaller slipper would once have been attached to the larger, but now loose threads remain but the two are separate. This pattern extends 4 cms onto the back of the hand.Three sprays, each of two flowers, decorate the back of the hand. Cream nylon (?) ribbon, 1.5 cm wide, wrapped around a flexible (possibly cardboard) horseshoe shape eleven cm long X 10 cm wide. A "stem" of cream rosebuds, studded with four teardrop shaped pearls, is stitched to the face of the horseshoe. A loop of the ribbon, 47.5 cm long, is attached for the bride's arm. Large horse-shoe covered in a tube of ruched, cream satin, trimmed on the outer edge, (and the seam of the tube) with narrow cotton lace. A 2.5cm satin ribbon loop, 60 cm long, is attached to the top of the horse-shoe with a 2.5 cm diameter, pink cotton rose.
