Example of the Readings and Prayers book that is issued to Australian Army Women's Services personnel during World War 2 by the Australian Army Chaplains' Department. The book has 176 pages of suggested readings and prayers for a variety of different occasions. The book was produced ca 1944.The book front cover is printed with the following text in deep red: "Readings and Prayers for Members of ARMY WOMEN'S SERVICES", "Issued by the Australian Army Chaplains' Department".
