James, a Ballarat, tramway inspector. .1 - Photograph of a Ballarat cricket team photographed with a grandstand in the background. Mounted in a red coloured cardboard folder, plain on inside. Photograph imprinted with "Vincent Kelly Bendigo" impression. Top left hand corner of folder has been marked with word "James", has pencil sketches of a persons face on it and other words. The photograph itself has cracking and crinkles in it. On the top of the photograph in a white label is number "2". Outside of cover has part of the red printed paper along the spine. Prepared by crews from sheets to enable them to know what service times to run, meal times, details of crew changes etc, based on their allocated shift or run from the roster.Approx 43 page notebook with brown card board covers, within a red plastic Croxley folder Each sheet faint ruled, both sides. Both sides of most pages has the hand written details of each SEC Ballarat runs - giving sign on times, notes, timetables, which run taken or taken by, meal times, notes with regard to special instructions, finish times notes with corrections and changes. Shows horse-drawn vehicles and one electric tram arriving at the terminus, late in the evening. Shows the little shed at the terminus, and buildings on either side of the Sturt St. People waiting around the tram stop. The tram seems to have a "color" light indicator above the driver. Titled "Sturt Street, Ballarat" in red ink in the top left-hand corner. On the rear of the card, has the stamp "R. M. Noy, Postcard collection", cancellation stamp of Ballarat East, 23.5.07, 1d Victorian stamp. Written to Miss Victoria Kemsey? of 225 Victoria Parade, East Melbourne, wishing her many happy returns on the day. Has the logo of WTP." in the top centre of the card. Divided back type.
