Physical description

Series of three photographs, mounted, featuring Ballarat Cricket teams that included H.P. James, a Ballarat, tramway inspector.

.1 - Photograph of a Ballarat cricket team photographed with a grandstand in the background. Mounted in a red coloured cardboard folder, plain on inside. Photograph imprinted with "Vincent Kelly Bendigo" impression. Top left hand corner of folder has been marked with word "James", has pencil sketches of a persons face on it and other words. The photograph itself has cracking and crinkles in it. On the top of the photograph in a white label is number "2". Outside of cover has part of the red printed paper along the spine. Also has remnant cotton stitching through the spine. Dimensions 277H x 216D

2. - Photograph of a youthful cricket team, in front of a wooden grandstand. Mounted onto a grey impressed backing with a off white back. Photograph by H. Owen, Dana Street Ballarat. Left hand part of the mount has been broken off. Photo partially curled. On the rear, top left hand corner of the photograph in a white label is number "4". Dimensions - 245H x 262W

.3 - Photograph of a cricket team, on a wooden grandstand. Mounted on to a brown coloured, embossed, and printed dark brown lines. Marked in ink on lower edge "1926 - Ballarat Hairdressers and tobacconists vs Sth .Melbourne do". On the rear, top left hand corner of the photograph in a white label is number "4". Also a pencil sketch by James of a person. Dimensions 198H x 250W

.4 - Sheet of paper with details of five photographs, written to Neville Gower from Zaza Dann On rear gives her address. Dimensions 196H x 145W

The numbers indicate that possibly the photographs have been published and are the printers / publisher numbering system.
