Undated photograph of Ringwood railway station precinct, however some indication of date has been determined by a railway enthusiast- see inscriptionNo inscription but accompanying typed information reads, "From a postcard..... It doesn't show the footbridge and so it was taken before 13/12/1920. And the signal with the six arms on it is seen in the background and therefore it must have been taken after October, 1912".

Emma Gerte (Gertrude) Uebergang married William James Atkinson in 1930. Emma was born in East Doncaster in 1903, the daughter of Carl Heinrich Uebergang and Sarah Buck. Emma’s grandparents were pioneers in Doncaster from 1855 and her father had an orchard in Andersons Creek Road. Mr & Mrs Atkinson had a greengrocery business and general store at 815 Whitehorse Road, almost on the corner of Elgar Road from 1930 until about 1950. (See file for further details). In retirement the couple lived at 63 Zetland Road, Mont Albert and William continued to work as an orchard hand. Emma died in 2000 and is buried in Templestowe Cemetery. Log Cabin built by Mr. J. Wharrie c 1930’s. Originally the Log cabin had a bark roof. The roof was replaced with iron. The home is located in Darlington Road Stawell. The Wharrie family lived in the cabin for many years during the 1940's and owned a doll factory. Kew Primary School is the oldest school in Kew and was established on November 1, 1870. It predates the commencement of State education with its genesis lying in the year the colony was founded, namely, 1851. The date of the flyer as circa 1920 can be estimated from the references to the (decision on) "electrification of the Croydon Railway Line" which eventually occurred in 1923, letting of tenders for the state school building which opened in 1924, and the "proposed new railway station" (East Ringwood) which opened in 1925, Advertisement for three retail and residential allotment land sales in East Ringwood Township including maps showing layout of subdivisions. The photograph had been dated 1920, however information from Stephen Holding in 2017 suggests it may have been taken around 1924-1925.
