A badly damaged black miniature leatherette softcover book, Methodist free Church Hymns with School Hymns. On the front cover printed in gold lettering is the title. The spine is blank. At the back there is an Index of First Lines. The pages have gilt edges. 312p. Following the first section are the School Hymns. On the front end papers there is a name handwritten in blue ink - D.H Gaudion Wandin Yallock May 24th 1896. There are pencil written arithmetic addition notes all over the end papers front and back. The Ocean Grove RVIB Auxiliary formed on July 31, 1944. This collection of papers includes the minute books from 1944 until 2002 and printed minutes from 2002 to the conclusion of the Auxiliiary in 2004. The papers include newspaper clippings, correspondence, secretary and annual reports, 1999-2005 syllabus (list of events), lists of office bearers and balance sheets. A signboard for the Auxiliary's kiosk in 1951, a poem from the last President Dot Whitehead and the acknowledgement letter from RVIB regarding the Auxiliary's final donation and decision to conclude are also here. The Australian Historical Records Society existed in Ballarat between 1896 and 1906. They were one of Australia's first historical societies, and were in the position to still be able to talk to early pioneers. They invited such pioneers to either submit letters or memoirs, or to address the Society's meetings, where their reminiscences were taken down in shorthand and later typed up. The Society also attempted to preserve memorabilia from Ballarat's early days, but on the disbanding of the group in 1906, materials were stored at the Ballarat Town Hall and were later lost. It is not known how the papers made their way to the then Ballarat Municipal Library, but they have been part of the Library's collection for many years.Several copies of the little rule book of the AHRS have been preserved with the Society's papers. historical societies, ballarat

Crown Portion 3 of Eltham, Parish of Nillumbik, County of Evelyn, Lots 26, 26A and 26B were part of the Greensborough Railway Station Estate. The land detailed is bounded by present-day Rattray Road, Reichelt Avenue, Wooded Way and Ryrie Court, Montmorency. Originally purchased in September 1913 by George William Miller, signwriter of Greensborough and Harry Frederick Miller, the land was sold to Mrs Margaret Barr Honeyman, 24 June 1918 on mortgage for £400, deposit paid £150. In February 1920, Mr Honeyman called for the title and paid off the loan early, settlement occuring 11 October 1920. Contents: 1.
