The Oopsee Daisee series of work is basically a series of self portraits. They began out of a necessity to recover from a nasty fall. The first sculpture of the series was like art therapy, a means to help overcome the bad memories, and anxieties. And it helped. With my deafness, I have many times when I feel wobbly and unbalanced, which have resulted in falls.
