Councilor D.Walton,J.P., was elected to council in 1906 serving until 1924.He was President for three terms, in 1912-13,1918-19 and 1924-25. He died during his last term of office and Councilor G.C.Stewart took over the balance of his term. The portable gramophone was used to play music from disc audio records.Gramophone marked "Wee MacGregor" on the side. Constructed from metal, painted creamy white. It has a cranking handle with a thick but hollow swivelling arm to which a metal disc is attached from which the needle protrudes. This model came from the Antenatal Clinic at St George's Hospital, Kew. The hospital in Kew was closed in 1998 and the services transferred to Box Hill Hospital. Julie Collette, former General Manager, donated this and other items to the Museum collection in 1998.Teaching model, uterus in cross-section revealing12 week embryo. Medals were presented by the Geelong West Cycling Club until the year 2002.Medals have always been given as recognition of achievement in competitive events.Medals in bronze and silver metal conglomerate.
