George Cox became the mailman ferrying to and fro Frankston to Phillip Island. He was granted a fisherman's license enabling him to live on the foreshore below the Isle Of Wight. Hut was roughly built of brick blocks and wood. Overnight on 19-20th August 2015, the Greensborough Football Club scoreboard building was set alight by vandals. The scoreboard, built in the 1950s needed to be demolished. It included umpire change rooms, scoreboard, change rooms and a storeroom containing footballs and training equipment. Jane and Samuel Delley emigrated to Australia in 1857. By 1870 they and their young family had settled in the area at the entrance of the Fyans Valley and on the west of Fyans Creek. There they built a home and recognising the needs of passing travellers and timber-getters, they established Delley's Inn, providing food and refreshments to all in need.Timber dwelling with bark roof and two chimneys, one at either side of the house. After WWII demand for wheelchairs increased. The original wheelchairs were driven by the patient's hands pushing the wheels. Later a motor was added. Then the motor and battery were built into the chair under the seat. The arm rests are also covered with old torn plastic. The Ballarat Junior Technical School was a division of the Ballarat School of Mines. It was a school for preparatory technical work in trade, art and science. it opened in 1913 in the bluestone building adjoining Dana Street Primary School. In 1921 in moved into a custom built brick building on the Ballarat School of Mines site. 23 page soft charcoal coloured book. The Sunbury Memorial Hall was originally the Mechanic's Institute which was built on the present site in 1885. The hall was remodelled in 1922 and renamed the Sunbury Memorial Hall. The building was used until the 1960s as the meeting place by the Shire of Bulla Council. Over the years it has continued to be used for community activities.A coloured photograph of the front view of the Sunbury Memorial Hall with a view of the portico with a front window on either side. Congregational Church Scallan Street Stawell. This photograph shows the Manse beside the church and was taken in the 1930's. The manse has an established garden around the building which looks in good condition. The picket fence is the same as in the post card photograph 106 of the Congregational Church built in 1874. International House at the University of Melbourne was Australia's first 'international house'. Its first purpose-built accommodation wing opened to residents in 1957, with the official opening the following year.
