Cast Iron circular plaque with a rectangular piece coming out of the top and bottom of the disc with the words "Shire of Caulfield" surrounding the Shire Seal which is an image of a man ploughing with the Shire motto "Labore Vinces" ("by our labours we shall conquer") on either side of the man.

The Programme was made on the occasion of the Civic Service to mark the granting of Armorial Ensigns and City Banner to the City of Caulfield. The cover states that the Ensigns were presented by J.P. Brooke - Little, Esq., Richmond Herald of Arms. There are three other known copies of the this Programme. Programme with white cardboard cover with the City of Caulfield Coat of Arms in black and white on the front. Four double sided pages and a colour representation of the City of Caulfield Coat of Arms on Page 3.

Gladys Machin was the first female Councillor for the City of Caulfield. She served between 1950-1965 and was Mayor in 1955-56 and 1959-60. Machin championed the opening of the Caulfield Elderly Citizens Club in 1952 (later renamed in her honour as the Gladys E Machin Senior Citizen's Club). Machin was also President between 1953-1974, as noted on the engraving. The club now forms part of the Caulfield Senior Citizen's Centre at 8 Cedar Street, Caulfield South. Caulfield was one of the first local councils to establish an elderly citizen's club. This photograph used to hang in the main hall at Caulfield Senior Citizen's Centre alongside a photo of the Queen.This object is considered of historic significance for its portrayal of Gladys Machin, first female Councillor for the City of Caulfield. The introduction in this book, by Doulas R. Aylen (CEO), explains that the book is a publication of the memoirs of William Ludwig Samuel Sebastian Lechte, written in the 1930s. Small book titled "CAULFIELD 1869 - 1935 MEMORIES OF THE PAST" by William Ludwig Samuel Sebastian Lechte, published by the City of Caulfield, 1993. The book has a cream coloured cover with the title and author, an aerial image of Caulfield featuring the Caulfield Town Hall and the City of Caulfield Coat of Arms printed on the front. The pages inside include 18 pages of black text printed on white pages. A sticker on the front bottom left hand corner reads 994.51, as this object was once a part of a library catalogue.

This booklet contains information and pictures about the suburb of Caulfield, including information regarding development, education, recreation, heritage, culture, horse racing, lifestyle in the municipality. It also includes a map of the City of Caulfield. Booklet with maroon colour cover with gold colour printed lettering on the front: "Caulfield For All Reasons", with the City of Caulfield's Caulfield Coat of Arms. The booklet is made up of 10 paper pages with images and text on both sides.

This magazine was provided free with Herald Sun newspapers in May 2008 to celebrate 150 years of AFL. DVDs were also available during this time. This B/W image, reproduced in a magazine, is of historic significance for its portrayal of the Caulfield Town Hall (including portico entrance) and its role as the venue for the extraordinary meeting of members of the South Melbourne Football Club. The South Melbourne Football Club was facing difficulties towards the end of the 1970s, and in 1981 newspapers announced the club’s proposed move to Sydney. The Keep South At South (KSAS) group was formed in opposition to the move, and after presenting the board with more than the requisite amount of signatures required, forced them to call an extraordinary meeting of members. This meeting was held on Tuesday the 22nd of September 1981 at the Caulfield Town Hall. Herald Sun Out and About Magazine, colour, titled "150 Years of Footy. Established in 1870, the National (renamed the Royal in 1890) Agricultural Society of Victoria, uses 'Speed the Plough' as its motto which is embossed on the medal. The engraved part of this medal reads “City of Caulfield Horticultural Display 1981, 1st Prize".Round, gold plated medal measuring 50mm in diameter with "The Royal Agricultural Society of Victoria" embossed around edge, an engraved central plate with an embossed representation of a sheep above and cattle below. The engraved side of the medal has "The Royal Agricultural Society of Victoria" around the edge, and the engraved part in the middle reads "CITY of CAULFIELD / HORTICULTURAL DISPLAY / 1981 / 1st Prize". Observe side reads "SPEED THE PLOUGH / RASV / ROYAL SHOW".

This “Caulfield 78” Community booklet contains relevant emergency telephone numbers of the time. The booklet contains information on council services, the Caulfield Town Hall, resources and contacts pertaining to health, men/women/children, elderly, employment, government policy, councillors, council, committee members, statistics and the environment. The front of the booklet has information about the location of council at Town Hall, and introduces the services which can be looked up in the community directory section of the booklet. Rectangular booklet titled "Caulfield 78", some fading and creasing on the cover.

This Employee Handbook booklet from September 1992 contains information relevant for employees of the Caulfield City Council at the time. It contains a wide range of information pertaining to council staff, including a section to fill in an employees name, personal details, and emergency contacts, as well as insights into staff expectations, conduct, salaries, council organisation, general welfare and safe work practices. According to the last page of this booklet, the resolution for passing this by-law was agreed to by Council on the 4th of July 1972, and confirmed on the 1st of August 1972. "City of Caulfield Provisions Governing Meetings Procedure; By-Law No. 151" stapled orange booklet, with two holes punched on the left hand side, and has the words "CR. G.S. Patience” inscribed in black ink on the cover. The outer back cover has the words “Vern Morgan Print” at the bottom. Inscribed with the handwritten words "CR. G.S. Patience' in black ink on the cover.

This community newsletter is titled "City of Caulfield Civic Week - Nov. 16-22, 1958", and describes the idea behind Civic Week by the Mayor as being “to promote a new and more active Community spirit, to create a greater public interest and participation in Community affairs, to emphasis the important part played by local government in the Community and to bring to all Citizens a new awareness of their City as a progressive part of the Metropolis”. It contains a program of functions to be held during Civic Week in 1958, and the middle pages contain the article “Be Careful When Driving or Parking a Car”. This one page community newsletter (folded in the middle to create 4 pages of text) is titled "City of Caulfield Civic Week - Nov. 16-22, 1958".

This newspaper was found under the floor during works on Town Hall in Caulfield. It was published in the same year (1930) that the portico was added to the Town Hall. The newspaper publication month coincides with the commencement of works in August 1930. It is possible that this object was deliberately placed underneath the floor at the time. This interview was recorded in May 2016 as part of the Wounded Soldier exhibition. The Wounded Soldier ran in November 2016, exploring No. 11 Australian General Military Hospital (later Caulfield Hospital) and its impact on Glen Eira's community during and after the First World War. The audio file catalogued here is an edited excerpt from the larger interview, designed for use in the exhibition. Deirdre Farrell trained as a nurse at Caulfield Hospital in the 1960's. Her father Les Campbell was a First World War veteran, and Deirdre grew up on a soldier settlement farm. This interview explores her childhood, her relationship with her father, her experience of repatriation medicine and her memories of Caulfield Hospital. This oral history is significant as the firsthand testimony of the child of a First World War veteran and for its recollections of Caulfield Hospital in the 1960's.
