This is a vintage coffee pot. From the 1860's - 1930's various companies called their enamelware products by their own unique names, e.g. graniteware and agateware. The enamel coating put an end to metallic tasting food and prevented rust from contaminating food. It did scratch and chip easily.A tall cream enamel coffee pot with a goose neck spout, handle, green trim around the top and a hinged lid attached with a metal clip.There is Chinese blue script printed onto the base 'Reservoir. The Conductivity Meter was purchased for the Food and Allied Sciences Department. It is not known if it was purchased to replace a similar item but obvious that this particular one has never been used. The solutions can be used for measuring conductivity. This measurement can be used as an estimate of total salt content in a solution. Good for quality assurance in a food context.Grey hard plastic case - compartments inside. Contains 1 meter, 1 conductivity probe and 4 small bottles of solution. Three bottles are conductivity solution. It is addressed to Mr Allan Quinn, C/- General Delivery, Post Office, Oslo, Norway. The return address is Mrs B. J. Hannon, C/- S.M.H.E.A., 1 Regent Street, Picadilly (writer's spelling). Below the return address is typed "Our telephone number is Riv. 1770 but in case of our moving Barry's business address is above and the number is Whitehall 3985." W Munro is listed as a stain manufacturer at 164 Dow Street in the 1930s Sands & McDougall Directory. In 1940 he is listed at 164-8 Dow Street as an ammonia manufacturer. By 1944 he had moved to 34 Hyde Street, Footscray and remained there until around 1970.Triangular-shaped clear glass bottle with writing on two sides.
