Newspaper clipping from The Courier, 5-6-1953 titled "New Move to Retain Buninyong Line", about a letter from Minister of Transport that the Victorian Railways were not prepared to maintain the bridges on the line that was closed in 1947, despite representations from the Shire of Buninyong. The Shire was asking for assistance from other Councils and Members of Parliament. Yields information about a new depot for Ballarat - the track plan proposed but not followed through for ESCo. Gives the layout and the proposed manufacturer Hadfield's.Print made from a microfilm using a microfilm printer, of "Ballarat Plan 6", a drawing showing trackwork for a new tram depot proposed for the ESCo owned property near the power house. Shows an 8 track tram depot in association with existing Wendouree Parade trackwork. Prepared by Hadfield's Sheffield, drawing No. 6745 as Plan No. 6. Gives details of the proposed rail weights - 90lb and 83lb and location details. Drawing held as one complete assembled print and two part prints. The assembled print was scanned. Woollen jumper / pullover / jersey made for the Ballarat Tramway Preservation Society, mid 1980's featuring No. 26 and the words "Ballarat Vintage Tramway" embroidered onto the jumper. Both jumpers have full length sleeves. Two colours - red - size 16, just with label. Green - size 18 with a washing instructions label and a manufacturing label, "Unlimited Motifs", To fit Size 100 Chest 100cm / Pure New Wool (with the logo) and Made in Australia". Document regarding the abandonment of tramways in Ballarat and Bendigo. Presented to State Parliament Sept. 1970 by the MInister for Fuel and Power, the Hon J C M Balfour MLA. Outlines the losses incurred by the SEC, replacement public transport system, the worn out nature of the system, the gifting of one Bendigo tramcar to the AETM, costs of track repairs and new trramcars, tenders for replacement bus services, retrenchment payments to staff, reconstruction of existing roads following removal of the tracks, and town planning and traffic aspects. Includes a photo of a bus and interior seating.
