The collection of thirteen model horse drawn vehicles were carefully handmade by Mr Chas W Davis 1925 - 2002. He was a talented artist and saw doctor. This model of a horse drawn Cobb and Co coach replicates the vehicle that enjoyed respect from the public during the 1880's. There were four horse drawn models as well.A model of a red Cobb and Co enclosed coach which is a four wheeled passenger horse drawn vehicle where the driver sits at the front behind the two light brown and grey horses. The name ROYAL MAIL COBB.CO is painted in white lettering on both sides. It has four gold painted spoked wheels with black rims, two gold painted coach lamps, black padded seating and four open windows with blinds that are rolled up. There are 2 doors with a drop-down step for easy access into the coach. A long brown wooden shaft separates the horses which also have black leather shaft style straps on both sides as well as the necessary horse tack for carriage use to help the driver communicate with the horses. There is a black wooden slotted luggage rack at the back held on by gold chains. On top of the coach is a decorative gold painted luggage rack. Freeman Cobb established Cobb and Co in Australia in 1853 to operate horse drawn mail and passengers between Melbourne and the Victorian Goldfields. It expanded to Queensland in 1865. Over the course of the conflict it served with a number of different nations in a variety of roles. In the Royal Australian Air Force, PBYs and PB2Bs (a variant built by Boeing in Canada) served as multi role bombers and scouts, the type eventually earning great renown among Australian aircrews. The Royal Commission into Institutional Responses to Child Sexual Abuse is investigating how institutions like schools, churches, sports clubs and government organisations have responded to allegations and instances of child sexual abuse. It is the job of the Royal Commission to uncover where systems have failed to protect children so it can make recommendations on how to improve laws, policies and practices. The Royal Commission is about creating a safer future for children. It can look at any private, public or non-government organisation that is, or was in the past, involved with children. A magazine published for British servicemen during World War One. It contains articles for the soldiers, poems and short stories. It is published by the 26th Royal Fusiliers, who were a group of men that came from the Banking industry. There were only two editions published, this one from June 1916 and another from July 1916. The phenomenon of Pals' Battalions began as early as August 1914, when 1,600 men volunteered in a single week for a 'Stockbrokers' Battalion' of the Royal Fusiliers. In the next two years, over 600 Pals' Battalions were formed, many from the men of individual towns, but others from specific trades or professions. The 26th Battalion of the Royal Fusiliers – the Bankers' Battalion – was announced in July 1915. It was launched on the initiative of the Lord Mayor of London, to be raised from men working in the City's banks and insurance offices. The connection with Legacy is not known, though the founding Legatees, and all those up to the 1940s, were all returned servicemen from the first World War.
