Drawing dated 18-12-1908 is some 18 months before the PMTT opened with a 6 road depot and is possibly related to land acquisition. The Drawings were to be used for manufacture of all the components of the Pikrose engine.Some of the Pikrose Engine was manufactured by Austin Hopkinson and Co. Ltd. The drawings belonged to the SECV and were created in the 1950s. The engine was used in tunnel construction.These drawings were used in the workshop of the SECV during the construction of the Kiewa Hydro Electric Scheme. The engine was used in the tunnel and powered by compressed air.KVHS has the drawings only. Workshop drawings consisting of about 20 paper sheets. A 32 page book, primarily humorous drawings that provide a lighter look at life in the trenches of France. The drawings were drawn by Captain Bruce Bainsfather and published in The Bystander, a London publication. Then compilations of the drawings were published as 'The Bystander's Fragments from France'. This is the fifth volume.
