Report prepared as a precursor to the formation of the Hawthorn Tramways Trust. The report looks at the estimated costs, revenue, expenditure and engineering difficulties. Neddy’s superiority complex at seeing out these early manifestations of our mechanical age was heightened when the front wheel of a nearby motor-truck fell off."
