Newspaper Clipping - from The Argus Monday 15/3/1937, titled "Six Trams Damaged with Road Metal", about the damage caused at the time of the closure of the South Melbourne and Port Melbourne cable tram services - by souvenir hunters and people at the Port Melbourne depot who through road metal (stones) at the trams as they came into the depot. The timeline gives the date of closure as Saturday 13/3/1937. Notes one of the Gripmen was a Mr. J. Armstrong. Has a photo of the tram showing its different support structure on the grip car. The cutting has been glued to a piece of scrap of paper which has handwriting on both sides in ink . A copy of the cutting has been trimmed in the corners. .2 - Cutting from a unknown Melbourne Newspaper - titled "First Cable Tram for Museum", reporting that cable car set 1 has been donated to the Melbourne Museum by the MMTB. Decorative Object - Coaster set, Paul Stephen-Daly trading at Louchrilau Nominees Pty Ltd, c1980
Set of 6 drink coasters, with a felt back gold plastic front with an impression of a Melbourne tram contained within a black finished cardboard box. Each coaster has the imprint of the MMTB emblem. The coasters feature: Z3 class - 1980 - has a Stephen Daly trademark logo on the rear. W2 class - 1927 A class - 1910 - 11 R Class - 1266 (Melbourne cable tram) - 1885 X class - 1924 T class - 1917 Produced by Paul Stephen-Daly trading at Louchrilau Nominees Pty Ltd, with address details and contact phone number (6 digits) and a telex number. Given it has a Z3 included, date late 1970's early 1980's. An internet search for the name shows a number of coasters produced by the same person on sale as collectables. Postcard - black and white reproduction of a wall poster used by the Box Hill - Doncaster Tramway, includes sketch of Doncaster Tower, one of the tram cars and timetable. See Reg Item 699 and 198. Printed for the State Library of Victoria, by John Sands - Number PC11. Divided back, caption, printing information and bar code where a stamp would go. Robert Green advised by email 20-1-2018: "The tram in Russell Street was unveiled by the Premier, R J Hamer, on 1 May 1975. The ceremony was attended by F R Kirby, the Chairman of the M&MTB, and the Chairman (Judge Leckie) and Director (R H Fowler) of the Science Museum of Victoria." The tram was removed from the glass case when further development to the buildings occurred and temporarily relocated to Box Hill for the centenary of the Doncaster Tramway. 2nd copy of postcard - on rear - Has 33 cent stamp, postmarked for the Centenary of Cable Car Services, 11/11/1985 with a grip included and stamped "100 years of Melbourne trams carried on Commemorative official trip from Flinders St, Melbourne to Richmond Town Hall, November 11, 1985" in blue ink in the top left hand corner.trams, tramways, box hill, posters, timetables, doncaster, postcards, cable trams -

Domestic object - Coaster set, Paul Stephen-Daly trading at Louchrilau Nominees Pty Ltd, c1984
Set of 4 drink coasters, with a blue felt back gold plastic front with an impression of a Melbourne tram contained within a black finished cardboard box. Each coaster has the imprint of the Melbourne Tourism logo, 150 years of Melbourne, produced for the Victoria's 150th celebrations 1984-85. Box has the Australian Made logo in gold printing. The coasters feature: Z3 class - 1980 - has a Stephen Daly trademark logo on the rear. W2 class - 1927 R Class - 1266 (Melbourne cable tram) - 1885 x 2 No. T class - 1917 Coasters finished with square corners, while those of the earlier production finished with rounded corners. Also within the box are the earlier produced coasters (see Reg Item 1835) of the A class and X class trams. Produced by Paul Stephen-Daly trading at Louchrilau Nominees Pty Ltd. Set of two ""Supplementary Running Journal", used by Conductors to enable the checking of tickets by Examiners. Was to be filled out prior to the commencement of journey and placed in the clip provided. Has space for date, punch mar, each fare time and Signature and Number. Both have punch marks .1 - Used 11-8-1935, possibly on a cable car, signed at R. Elliott, completed in pencil, car 476. Has part of a depot stamp in the bottom right hand corner. .2 - Form 3/134, Aug 66, used 8-1-69 by conductor No. 1267, ? from Malvern Depot, car 275. Completed in ink. Has the Malvern depot stamp on the rear.
