Glendonald School for Deaf Children was run by the Victorian Education Department. It provided education and some residential services for deaf children. The school was situated in Marshall Avenue, Kew and operated from 1951–91. Deaf children whose families lived too far to travel daily were housed in a grand Victorian mansion in Belmont Avenue, Kew, the John Cannon Hostel. The school and hostel also accommodated a small number of wards of the state. The belt was owned and used by Pte Sean Farrow, and is created in regimental colours. Was worn over the dark green woollen jersey. Ceremonial Belt mounted on wooden plaque. The Diamond Valley Community Hospital was established in 1942 in Grimshaw Street Greensborough. Due to financial circumstances, the hospital closed in 2000. This collection of photo albums is from the 1990s and was collected by staff. This album contains photographs of the 50th Anniversary celebrations at DVCH and includes the 'Gala Day' 18/8/91 and Staff 'High Tea' 15/8/91. The album includes programs, an invitation and list of acceptances. Photographs include staff and functions held for the hospital. Photographs are not named. Albums may be accessed at the GHS Resource Centre. This volume is numbered 4. As the Diamond Valley Community Hospital is now closed, this collection of albums records some of the people involved.
