Mossgiel was built for or owned by Brigadier-General Robert Smith, who (I believe) was the founder of the Returned Soldiers & Sailors Mill in Newtown.Cream/pale yellow coloured paper booklet with maroon/brown text and border on front page, "Mossgiel" text in centre. 6 pages, bound with two metal staples on spine. Front cover describes the auction specifics for Holly Green estate and shows a green field with a homestead in the background. Made by Logan brand who are still in operation today. This is model 401 which is not manufactured currently.Black plastic and yellow plastic box with white foam-core base and side walls. Mat cutter is a black metal base/frame with horizontal ruler attached within. Steel handle at front with mounting area for blade. Blade is stored flat within base but can be turned to protrude through the bottom of the frame which allows it to cut carpet. 4 additional unused blades stored in small brown paper envelopes. Faded cream coloured single page paper folded instruction manual. -

Original document dates from February 14, 1917. Unclear what year this photocopy is from. Item was discovered onsite when Classweave Industries closed down in 2001. Watermark across the pages of the report read PROVISION OF A COPY OF THIS RECORD HELD BY THE AUSTRALIAN ARCHIVES DOES NOT AUTHORISE ITS PUBLICATION OR REPRODUCTION. Report signed at final page by James Smail, manager.Pale yellow paper document with black text. 6 pages, stapled together at top left corner. Text describes the Woollen Cloth Factory site and its creation, as well as staff numbers, wages and expenditure. Report is signed by site manager James Smail.
