Stem cutting with pointed, thin leaves with dark green tops and pale green undersides. Flowers are white with pink colouring at the ends. Their shape is cup-like with five petals forming a star at top. Stamens end in brown pollen clusters. Artist comment: These three prints (The Groom, The Undertaker's Assistant, The Organist) are part of a series on forebears of Portland. The drawings are taken from people in a collection of photographs belonging to the Johnson Family of Portland. The "Old Lady" and "The Wedding" are part of the same series.
