Plaque accompanying chainsaw statues by Leigh Conkie. These chainsaw sculptures were in Greensborough War Memorial Park, sculpted by Leigh Conkie in 2003. The trees surrounding the park were removed when disease made them unsafe, and the sculptures were created from the stumps. St Katherine's Church St Helena dates from 1858. The Church was built by Major Anthony Beale in memory of his wife Katherine Rose Beale. The plaque was originally intended for the Murray Road Bridge. The Murray Road Bridge is of state historical and architectural significance. With the Newlands Street Bridge it is one of a pair of bluestone bridges constructed by prison labour in Coburg and is situated within the immediate vicinity of the Pentridge Prison. The bridge has one of five largest spans of stone bridges built in Australia, of which at least three survive. Sports Clubs in Kew in the final decades of the 19th century and in the early 20th century were often umbrella organisations with facilities for a number of sports. Typically in Kew, this included teams in lawn bowls, tennis and croquet. The Kew Bowling Club was formed in 1880 while the privately owned Auburn Heights Recreation Club was opened in 1904. By 1998, the two Clubs decided to amalgamate at the Auburn Heights site in Barkers Road, forming the Kew Heights Sports Club. The combined club was itself taken over by the Melbourne Cricket Club in 2012 becoming MCC Kew Sports Club. In 2017 MCC Kew closed and its landholding was subsequently sold to Carey Baptist Grammar School. Both the Kew and Auburn Heights Clubs assembled important collections. These historically significant and large collections were donated to the Society in 2020. James Ross Lawrence, R N, Captain of the Schooner 'Lady of St Kilda'. He named Acland st after Sir Thomas Dyke Acland, owner of "The Lady of St Kilda". This plaque was unveiled by Commander RS Veale RAN (retd) CMG for St Kilda City Council. 24 March 1985.

In 2013, Gary Partington generously donated farm implements to Greensborough Historical Society. These implements had been used at the family property "Willis Vale" up to the 1960s. Members of the Partington family farmed the area from the 1840s. In this photo, Elinor, Gary and Faye stand behind the plaque that explained the provenance of the displayed implements. Unfortunately, one of these items was stolen in December 2016. Russell Yeoman advised (14 Jun 2017 society meeting) that the Shire of Eltham had been given the plaque to commemorate Walter Withers and that the rock was sourced from west of Melbourne with funds from a local government grant. The initial crane to lift the rock in place was too small and another crane was arranged.
