The figure of 1,000,000 likely to be a bit of puffery, though on some days that may have occurred during the 1940s. See item 6949 for about 60 different schoolboy howlers. The concrete looks relatively new in the photograph. The tram was originally built by the Victorian Railways for their St Kilda Brighton tramway in 1942. It is currently on display at the Melbourne Tram Museum. Many of the buildings in the background have since been demolished. Manufacturer not known... of the layout on the ticket typical of a Melbourne tram ticket ...Item used to simulate or play being a tram conductor, about 15 tickets from each block have been used or removed. Received with a "conductors" badge and cardboard cut out coins. See items 8604 and 8605. Wording and parts of the layout on the ticket typical of a Melbourne tram ticket. Manufacturer not known or the date, possibly mid 1950's based on the cardboard coins. The donor, who lived in Melbourne, recalls that they were part of an outfit which consisted of these items, a conductors cap and bag, similar to a Melbourne conductor's bag. Demonstrates a toy or item used by children to simulate or play being a tram conductor. Heavy cardboard folded to form a tram ticket wallet containing four blocks of tickets, individually numbered. W2 class - 1927 A class - 1910 - 11 R Class - 1266 (Melbourne cable tram) - 1885 X class - 1924 T class - 1917 Produced by Paul Stephen-Daly trading at Louchrilau Nominees Pty Ltd, with address details and contact phone number (6 digits) and a telex number. Given it has a Z3 included, date late 1970's early 1980's. An internet search for the name shows a number of coasters produced by the same person on sale as collectables.
