The photograph of Sunbury Station was taken from the pedestrian bridge and is looking north to take in the Sunbury Square shopping centre buildings and the bus terminal which are on the Platform 1 or east side of the station.During the 1990s much development took place in Sunbury and the station precinct became a commercial hub.A coloured photograph of a railway station and a Coles Supermarket in the middle distance as well as a bus terminal.

The Observatory on the high point of Mt Corrhanwarrabul was used to take trigonometrical readings from as early as 1850. The area became very popular with tourists as a place to walk and drive to. The dance and concert advertised on the sign was to take place at the hall which was in the grounds of the Sunbury Asylum, commonly referred by residents as 'The Hill'. A number of community events took place at the hall within the asylum complex.The Sunbury Asylum was an important institution for patients, employees and Sunbury residents for many years in the town.
