Historical information
The photograph of Sunbury Station was taken from the pedestrian bridge and is looking north to take in the Sunbury Square shopping centre buildings and the bus terminal which are on the Platform 1 or east side of the station.
Significance
During the 1990s much development took place in Sunbury and the station precinct became a commercial hub. Prior to the development the railway land on either side of the station was open grasslands and used for passive recreation.
