The work took place from October 1979 to May 1980 on the southern boundary of Hubbard Reserve, North Ringwood. Four feet wide, the auger could only go down one metre and was nearly useless.

A4 size photocopy of a photograph and accompanying text of an article that appeared in The Courier, Ballarat about the return of tram No. 39 from Lismore to Ballarat by the BTPS. No date on item, about March or April 1976 as appealing for space to store the tram and giving dimensions of the spaced needed for storage. Photo of tram accompanying item is of No. 12 with destination of Sebastopol. The April 1976 issue of Fares Please! gives the proposed move date as 8 and 9 May 1976. Prior to the election of female Councillors and Mayors in the 1960’s, the Lady Mayoress role was one of the few ways women could officially undertake civic duties. Mayoresses made important contributions to their local communities through their charity work and as ambassadors for their region on a state and federal level. They also undertook some Mayoral duties on occasions when their husband was unavailable. Ethel Rose Douglas married George Dawson Garvin in 1906 and was twice Mayoress from 1931 - 32 and 1938 - 39. Mayoress Ethel Garvin died in 1952 aged 74 and had been an esteemed member of the Women's Central Auxiliary of the Bendigo Base Hospital, a member of the Baby Health Centre and Mayoral Ladies Auxiliary.
