The tram is a maximum- traction bogie, drop-end-and-centre combination tram built by Duncan & Fraser, Adelaide in 1913 for the PMTT. John Batman's Treaty, signed on the banks of a creek (Merri Creek?) on 16 June 1835, was an agreement with eight Aboriginal leaders to transfer the land of Port Phillip area to Batman. Governor Bourke disallowed the Treaty the same year.australia, history, john batman
