BHS CollectionA Collection of Street Parade Photographs: Three photos all black and white. The first is of the S.E.C. float with *The Magic Servant* being pulled by a tractor with two men aboard. The float is of grass and flowers. Three children are on the float holding signs of Heat, Power, ?. A girl stands in a decorative shell. The street scene is lined with many people and cars of the day are parked at the road edge. The second is of the White Christmas Golden Square Mothers Club. A truck is decorated with a large Christmas tree with children dressed for winter. At the right is a sign*Bendigo Olympic Pool Fun is now open* on the balcony with a crowd of people. The streets are lined with spectators with flags flying above the parade. The Third is a float carrying a train with VR in flowers on the side and a floral display on the float. A crown of flowers at the front and the train on rails is featured. The train is No: B60 and is named the *Harold W. Clapp* All photos are of Bendigo's streetscape. Letter, Public Transport Corporation (PTC), "The Met" Scratch tickets, Dec. 1989
Letter issued on PTC Coloured letterhead, with V/Line and The Met logos on the base, to all tram and bus employees, from Keith Fitzmaurice, discussing pay opportunities, the Tramways Union refusal to participate, Christmas Wishes and looking forward to work together in 1990. Undated as such. Consists of two sheets of paper and two tickets stapled together in the top left hand corner. Attached to the letter is a sheet giving current and proposed pay rates for bus drivers, conductors and tram drivers. Document - BENDIGO AMALGAMATED GOLDFIELDS N. .L. - CHRISTMAS CARD
Off white Christmas card with 'All Good wishes for Xmas and the New Year' printed at the top. In the centre is a circular picture of a mine with its buildings and two chimneys. The chimneys extend past the outer edge of the circle. To the bottom left is a bunch of wattle. A smaller piece of wattle is on the bottom right. Bendigo Amalgamated Goldfields No Liability and December 19th, 1917 is printed under the picture. All the printing and picture is printed in sepia and darker brown. On the back of the card, from the top centre to the centre left is a printed lace pattern in light red. On the inside left is a refreshment menu. It is a mixture of mining terms and food items. On the right side are Toasts. The first - The King . . . His Worship the Mayor, then Cigars. Cigarettes. The third The Industry . . . His Worship the Mayor, and the last line Responder . . . Albert Richardson was an expert on the history of the Bendigo Goldfield. The Albert Richardson Park at Victoria Hill, is named in his honour. He was a prominent member of the Bendigo Historical Society. Fifty one page booklet. On front page: Bendigo Goldfield, issued by Geo Brown, Secretary for Mines, under the authority of The Hon. E.J. Hogan, M.L.A., Minister of Mines. Mines Department, Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, 1936.Content includes: historical information; recent development and future prospects, geology and lines of reef.
