This style of collar has a long history in the Royal Australian Navy, descending from the uniform style of the 19th century Royal Navy.Rectangular shaped collar with three white parallel lines running the border of the collar. Collar is light navy on top and striped white and blue on interior. Collar is held in place with nine buttons on the jumper, there are nine corresponding machine-stitched button holes on the collar. Handwritten on the interior at the back of the neck and on the edge of the square collar is "D.
