1074.1 - Book or Manual, 20 pages + 6 "PTC Customer Services Revenue Maximisation" form + green card covers bound with a black plastic comb binder - titled "Ticket Checker's Manual - Met Ticket System". or ticketing manual. Has PTC and railway photo on front cover. Gives procedures, concession fares, Met Fare zones, colour coding of tickets, samples of tickets, including a used scratch card ticket (2 hour zone 2 concession) and a number of other tickets which have been stamped cancelled. Would appear that used tickets have been recycled for the publication, also has reproductions of concession cards. On page 19 gives information on free travel for police in uniform and conditions for bicycles, surfboards, prams etc, seeing eye dogs, pets and V/Line tickets. 1074.2 - 21 pages + 9 "PTC Customer Services Revenue Maximisation" form, yellow card covers bound with a black plastic comb binder - titled "Ticket Checker's Manual - Section 1 General Information", Section II, The Met, Section III Concession Cards - has a number of blank pages. Guides Ballarat Tramway Preservation Society conductors about their duties, ticket issuing, pay-ins sales etc. Was the first version of this document. Prepared by Peter Walker. The first version was issued 1/11/1989. see item 8875. Was collected from the depot 1/2001 when a new version of the Guidelines was issued. In use from c1990 to 2001 as a sample copy and loaned to new conductors. Document originally prepared by Peter Walker, who passed away 24/9/2005 - see Reg Item 6838 for Obituary.Demonstrates BTPS documentation for crew use.Folder containing in plastic sheets, the 1/5/1990 version of the Ballarat Vintage Tramway Operating Guidelines. The document is a photocopied version of "Issue 2 / 1.5.90" on yellow paper. It consists of 33 sheets which have been amended in a number of places to adjust for cash floats, fares, museum sales tin. Two copies of a Carbon typed copy of a technical procedure - 6 pages - "Extract from the 'Proceedings of the Electrical Association of New South Wales' session 1910 - 11" - giving advice on the location of Trolley Wire" giving the guide on how to locate trolley wire on curves and junctions, gives formulas, positioning at frogs, notes regarding various cars and trolley wire height includes notes on cross falls of track, a table of aluminium copper alloys - bending strength and failure modes. Consists of five pages with two blue print drawing. Each page has been scanned the blue print drawings reversed imaged as well. 4768.2 - blue print drawing showing references in the various formulas etc used. 4768.3 - ditto showing tracking for four wheeled and bogie cars and other diagrams for turnouts, frog locations and frog angles.
