The practice was originally in Blackburn Street commencing in the early 1920s. It moved to 'Luxmee' where Dr Navroji (Neville) Gandevia had previously practised. Their father had been a doctor at Linton, near Skipton and their brother was a doctor in Skipton. Photocopy of account/receipt for professional services and medicine provided to "Mrs Sandow" from Dr J. B. Donaldson, Jnr., who was then practising at Skipton. Services were provided between 1943 and 1944, costs amounted to a total of two pounds and seventeen shillings. The account is marked "Paid" and has a Victorian Stamp Duty stamp attached. Railway Conductor's Bag, Railway Conductor's Bags
Used on Ballarat-Skipton railway line to carry money and tokens. Rescued from bonfire when Linton Station was demolished, by Fred Freestone. Donated to Society 1981.Two brown leather pouches. Bag 1 has brass plate which reads "Linton" (plate attached to square of leather stitched to bag). Bag 2 has the word "Linton" written in ink on front, where leather patch and brass plate used to be. Each bag has two brass loops at top, holding a leather strap which keeps the pouch closed. A brass padlock with a key is attached to the strap.Makers' marks: On padlock 1 and its key: "M 63" "J. Springvale State School, No. 1544, opened in May 1875 and closed in 1906. Land for the school was donated by the O'Meara family.
