Hospitalised with Myalgia 8.1.1917 then Influenza 7.2.1917. He returned to his unit 22.5.1917. KIA between 7 - 9 June 1917. No known grave. The brick school building was built in this period. 1920s Enrolment declined in the 1920s to around 10 students. 1932 Enrolment continued to decline and the school was closed. 1933 The school reopened briefly under head teacher Selina McFarlane. 1936 It closed again at some stage before reopening in 1936 under head teacher Maxwell Brown. Early in the 1970s a number of people felt the need in the Greensborough community for an Arts Society, Prominent among them were were Ron Reynolds, Digby Watson, Murray Pulford, Roland and Maria Schultz. An article appeared in the Greenhills Community News seeking those interested in participating in such a society.
