These Military payment Certificates were used in U.S Military Installations, PX’s instead of U.S Dollars. This was to avoid Dollars getting into the black market and used to buy weapons etc. Every few months there would be a shut down and all Payment certificates handed in and new ones issued. They were also used in Australian bases in Vietnam.
