"Jack Lockett" was a local identity who lived to 111 years and was one of the last surviving WW1 Veteran. Enamel and porcelain pre dates stainless steel which was first manufactured in 1913. This hospital equipment was available in the 1950s when the Tawonga District General Hospital was built specifically for the increase in population due to the Kiewa Hydro Scheme.Historical: Shows the development of scientific hospital equipment. Provenance: Used in the Tawonga District General Hospital which was remote and therefore required good equipment.White enamel bedpan pear shaped with the front (narrow) edge having no overlap. From the front an overlap gradually increase to the sides and back which form a narrow bench (for sitting on). The edges are rounded and black.3 small dints on bench. The Fanning Family home, 'Sunnyside', was built in Loemans Road after William Patrick Fanning migrated from Thurles, Co Tipperary, Ireland. He was one of the early farmers in Bulla. He and his wife, Catherine had five children. Since he and his wife died their descendants continued to live at 'Sunnyside' in Bulla. One of a collection of 6 photographs donated by Anne Grayden. The Speke was the third largest 3 masted ships built in 1891. It was wrecked in 1906 near Kitty Miller Bay due to a navigational error. This photograph was found loose in the first of three albums compiled and owned by J W Allen, Secretary of New South Wales Grazier's, and is associated with the New South Wales Graziers Association world tour of sheep 1928-1929. The album contains photographs of travel, sheep, farms, stations, people and landscapes from around the world. Locations include Naples, Port Said, Suez, Birregurra (Vic), Alexandra (Vic), Ballangeich (Vic), Keith (SA), Mt Gambier (SA), Buckland Park (SA), Tasmania, Winton (QLD), Sydney Harbour, Canberra (ACT), Toowoomba (QLD), Rockhampton (QLD), Tocal (NSW), Deepwater (NSW), Glen Innes (NSW), Longreach (QLD), Moree (NSW), Barraba (NSW) and Mudgee (NSW). Properties depicted include Mooleric, Turkeith, Woolongoon, Minadale, Crower Station, Merrindie, Koomooloo Station, Cappeedee, Koonoona, Rathmore, Ellenthorpe, Camden Park Station, Glenlegh, Strathmore Station, Ilparran Station, Binneguy, Midkin, Terlings, Ashley, Bereen, Plumthorpe, Mayvale and Havilah. John E. Blacker was a Methodist and then Uniting Church miinister - placements at Dandenong (Lilydale), Kilmore & Broadford, Kerang-Barham, Sunshine, and Moonee Ponds. In the early 1980s he led a charismatic renewal program at Sunshine and Moonee Ponds, and was involved with a controversy over re-baptisms.
